Mission & Vision

Three Ways to Thrive. One Foundation.

Highland Heights Foundation exists as a social service to our community, including but not limited to, offering wise counsel to those in need, providing education on food practices and support of other nonprofits needing a farm environment to maximize their program.

Through three key areas, we strive to make a lasting impact.

  • Food Access: We strive to connect individuals and families in need with the resources they need to access fresh, healthy food.
  • Food Education: We offer programs that promote healthy eating habits, culinary skills, and the joy of cooking. By fostering a love of food, we empower individuals to make informed choices and lead healthier lives.
  • Mental Health: Offering mental health therapy, including innovative Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) sessions, fostering healthy connections and personal growth within our community.

Together, these key areas work in harmony to promote well-being through fresh produce, nutrition education, and supportive therapeutic services.

Our Work: Making a Difference

The Farm

Our growing operation

Highland Heights Farm, founded in 2013 by Evan and Autumn Overbay, fights food insecurity by growing fresh, healthy produce year-round. Our specialized hydroponic greenhouse and automated system maximize yields, ensuring all our harvest goes directly to local food banks and food pantries.

We also offer engaging cooking classes for all skill levels, from food and nutrition basics to mastering pizza, BBQ, jams, and more!

The Silo

Our restaurant

The Silo offers a unique dining experience with a purpose! During the warmer months, we host weekly fundraising dinners featuring wood-fired pizza and Texas-style BBQ, all made fresh on-site. These delicious meals directly support the foundation’s work.

Beyond our regular dinners, The Silo is available for rent as a charming venue for small events like bridal showers and company gatherings. We provide both the picturesque location and delicious catering, making your event truly special.
